We believe that people ought to make the decisions that shape their futures in all arenas--social, political, economic, and technical. Further, we believe that scientific research, or in our words, "systematic problem solving," can be a valuable tool to assist communities in creating the knowledge they need to make choices and devise strategies that will give them the future they envisioned.
